This is a normal security behavior on macOS called “Gatekeeper.” Our applications are safe but may not be code-signed with Apple’s developer certificate, which triggers macOS security protection.
Solution Steps:
- When you first try to open the app, you’ll see a message like:
- “[App Name] cannot be opened because it is from an unidentified developer”
- OR “[App Name] cannot be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software”
- To safely open the application:
- Go to System Settings (or System Preferences on older macOS)
- Click Privacy & Security
- Scroll down to the Security section
- You should see a message about the blocked app with an “Open Anyway” button
- Click “Open Anyway”
- Confirm by clicking “Open” in the dialog that appears
- Alternative method:
- Right-click (or Control+click) on the application
- Select “Open” from the context menu
- Click “Open” in the security dialog
Why does this happen?
- This is NOT a virus or malware issue
- macOS protects users by blocking unsigned applications by default
- AyumaxSoft applications are safe and tested
- This is Apple’s standard security feature called “Gatekeeper”
- Once you approve the app, it will open normally in the future
Important Notes:
- ✅ This process is completely normal and safe
- ✅ You only need to do this once per application
- ✅ After approval, the app will launch normally
- ✅ This affects many legitimate applications from independent developers
